Job description
Overview

You will be required to Lead by example

  • Be at work 20 minutes before start of shift with the Store Manager to allow for ample time to prep for when team starts shift.
  • Complete all task accurately and timeously.
  • Communicate effectively with both the Head office team and staff.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring daily tasks and admin duties are completed
  • Prevention of stock loss

You will be required to follow all lawful instructions issued to you by the head office and ensure all tasks are completed accurately and timeously.

You will be responsible for the opening and closing of the store.

You will be responsible for all the cash in the store

You will be responsible for all the stock in the store

You will be responsible for the Development and affective management of all staff in the store that is new appointments and staff promotions

You will be responsible for developing an action plan to ensure all staff can be developed i.e., succession planning

You will be responsible for counselling and discipline of all staff in the store with the managers guidance

You will be responsible for identifying staff for development

You will be responsible for identifying and coaching non performing staff members

You will be required to do accurate follow ups on tasks issued to staff

You will be responsible for the Stockroom controller

  • You will be responsible for ensuring the correct procedure is followed when stock is received.
  • Ensure when truck arrives to deliver stock that all correct procedure is followed.
  • Check seal is not tampered with
  • Ensure truck is resealed with the correct seal
  • Ensure number of boxes on packing list matches number of boxes received.
  • Ensure all IBTs, Recalls, empty boxes, tags and pins and all extra fittings and fixtures are sent back with the driver.
  • Ensure driver leaves with all the relevant paper work

You will be responsible for ensuring the unpacking of all stock received is unpacked with speed and accuracy

  • Unpacking boxes and ensuring quantity and PLUs are correct as per the box sticker and packing list
  • If there are any shortages or overages that management is informed immediately and that management double checks
  • Ensure that Head Office is informed of shortages or overage and you follow up to resolve query
  • Double check that PLUs and Prices are correct
  • Check Packing List against IBT in with Stockroom controller

You will be responsible for checking that all stock received is tagged correctly

  • Ensure the correct tags are used i.e., hard tags and soft tags (sensormatic stickers)
  • Ensure correct number of tags are used as per each price point requirement
  • Ensure you use stockroom book to record PLUs tagged and time it took you to tag PLU
  • Ensure all stock received is sent to shop floor within 24 hours of delivery of stock

You will be responsible for the control of all stock in and out of stockroom and merchandising of stockroom

  • Stockroom needs to be neat and tidy all the time
  • All boxes in stockroom has to have a box sticker with PLU, Description and quantity clearly recorded, there must be sample hanging outside the box
  • No boxes to have less than 10 units in it, PLUs that are under 10 units needs to be taken to shop floor
  • Ensure each department in the stockroom is clearly labelled
  • Ensure Lay byes kept in stockroom are hung up neatly and in number order

You will be responsible for Replenishment of stock

  • Ensure samples of all new stock is shown to management and floor staff in the morning meeting
  • You will ensure that all stock is on the shop floor
  • Liaise with management and floor staff on stock requirements
  • Ensure shop floor is replenished daily
  • Ensure shop floor has enough stock at all times
  • Ensure shop floor is maintained

You will be responsible for Management of stock

  • Know your best seller and zero sales report
  • Ensure all best seller stock has the correct quantity of stock and has the correct size curve on the shop floor
  • Ensure all stock is on shop floor, ensure correct quantity of stock is on shop floor
  • Ensure that rejects are sent back to the warehouse twice a month on the 15 th and last day of the month provide the quantity of rejects exceed 15 units
  • Ensure hangers are separated as per style and has a sample outside the box
  • Ensure all extra hangers, tags, pins, fittings and fixtures are sent back to the warehouse
  • Ensure all empty boxes are flattened and bundled and sent back to warehouse

You will be responsible for authorising transactions i.e., Refunds and exchanges

You will be responsible for dealing with customer complaints and queries

You will be responsible for daily admin functions.

  • Ensuring payouts are done on time as and when cashier requires a payout to be done, complete payout register
  • Print all reports and ensure it is filed correctly and in the right file
  • Ensure cash flow is completed
  • Ensure staff has daily targets and you follow up on staff sales
