Vice President – International Private Equity
An exceptional opportunity has emerged to join a leading International Private Equity (IPE) investment team as a Vice President.
This role offers exposure to a seasoned global alternatives platform that has consistently outperformed industry benchmarks.
The IPE team invests in primary, co-investment, and secondary private equity opportunities across the USA, Europe, and Asia, with a strong track record in buyouts, growth equity, and venture capital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investment Evaluation and Execution: Assess co-investment opportunities, conducting financial modelling, due diligence, market research, and competitive analysis. Structure and negotiate co-investment terms in collaboration with lead private equity sponsors. Prepare and present investment recommendations to internal investment committees. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, legal counsel, and external advisors to facilitate seamless transaction execution.
- Fund Commitments: Evaluate private equity fund opportunities through in-depth analysis of investment strategies, track records, and management teams. Develop comprehensive assessments of fund managers, reviewing historical performance and long-term value creation. Monitor industry trends and emerging managers to identify attractive fund investment opportunities. Oversee the performance of co-investments and fund commitments, providing insights to senior management and stakeholders. Engage with fund managers, attend meetings, and contribute to portfolio optimization strategies.
- Relationship Management and Market Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with private equity fund managers, advisors, and industry leaders. Represent the firm at key industry events, investment forums, and networking opportunities. Stay informed on private equity market trends and contribute to broader investment strategies.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
- An MBA or CFA is advantageous.
- A minimum of 5–10 years of experience in private equity, fund-of-funds, investment banking, or principal investing, with a focus on transaction analysis, fund evaluation, or portfolio management.
- Proven international investment experience across the USA, Europe, or Asia.
- Strong financial modelling, due diligence, and analytical skills.
- Deep understanding of private equity fund structures, investment strategies, and co-investment processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- A collaborative, detail-oriented professional with a strategic mindset and a strong ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
