Job Purpose

To develop financial valuation models to enable clients to make optimal investment decisions and support the team by providing requisite detailed analyses and documentation (PowerPoint presentations; circulars; announcements) for proposals and transactions; thereby assisting the business in revenue generation.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in growing and developing the corporate finance advisory business, covering capital raising, M&A transactions, public-private partnerships, BEE transactions.

• Analyse and assess potential deal opportunities, including preparing and presenting proposals to potential clients.

• Compile pitchbooks and presentation materials for client and internal meetings.

• Perform valuations using technical tools such as DCF, multiples approach, and capitalization of earnings.

• Build robust financial models to support transaction analysis.

• Prepare high-quality PowerPoint presentations for client engagements and transaction execution.

• Manage key stakeholders, understanding their objectives and tailoring solutions to meet their needs.

• Develop alternative deal structures and solutions aligned with stakeholder goals.

• Project manage and implement mandates with clients and transactions.

• Prepare transaction documentation and liaise with legal, accounting, and other professional advisors.

• Support the growth of the investment portfolio by identifying and analysing new investment opportunities.

• Mentor and supervise junior team members, contributing to their professional development.

• Highly proficient in financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.

• Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of commercial value drivers.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

• Prior experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or financial advisory is advantageous.
