Job summary

A prominent educational institution in Durban seeks an experienced individual to drive the integration of educational technology in course design and online learning. The ideal candidate will have an Honour’s degree in Educational Technology and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include advising on technology deployment, developing training solutions, and supporting technical operations. The role is a fixed-term contract until 31st December 2026 and includes a variety of responsibilities aimed at enhancing the online learning experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' hands-on experience with new educational technologies.
• Experience in supporting online technology enabled learning tools.
• Ability to work across organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Participate in course design and develop educational technology tools.
• Advise on appropriate educational technology for course development.
• Provide guidance during course design on support systems implementation.
• Ensure integration of multimedia and virtual reality resources in materials.
• Lead coordination and support for technical operations in online learning.
• Collaborate on maintenance of software and hardware assets.
• Research and recommend new educational technologies.
• Develop training solutions for students and faculty.
