Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for a Site Manager with a minimum of 5 years of road construction experience or more than 3 years of road rehabilitation experience on projects of a similar nature.

Minimum Requirements and KPA’s

  • Diploma / BTech in civil engineering.
  • Registered with ECSA as a Professional Civil Engineer, Technologist, or Technician.
  • Or registered with SACPCMP as a Professional Construction Project Manager or Professional Construction Manager.
  • Own vehicle will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of construction methods and technologies, and ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts.
  • Ability to manage project activities simultaneously with a constant eye on quality.
  • Knowledge of the civil engineering code requirements and scheduling methods.
  • Planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications, and budget.
  • Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates.
  • Coordinate the quality control programs with the assistance of the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to the contracts manager.
  • Adhere to Company Safety Standards and promote a safety culture among the ranks throughout the company.
  • Hiring and supervising the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff.
