Sales Engineer position available in Somerset West.

A renowned Aviation Engineering company is looking for a Sales Engineer to join their team on a full-time permanent basis in the Helderberg Area, Cape Town.

Requirements:

  • Technician or comparable training ideally from the field of aviation.
  • Relevant professional experience in technical sales or a technical function in customer projects.
  • Good knowledge of product and project management.
  • Confident handling of communication and information tools as well as MS-Office.
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken English.
  • Organizational talent, communication skills and individual initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluation of complex customer inquiries from international airlines regarding technical & schedule feasibility as well as cost estimation.
  • Supporting regional sales directors of the different sales locations with the preparation of quotations in regards to product configuration.
  • Review of customer specifications for definitions and requirements and consider these in the offer evaluation.
  • Creation of compliance matrix.
  • For the offer evaluation, request and validate relevant information from internal stakeholders such as sales, project management, product management, product calculation and engineering.
  • Creation of the offer product-definition, timeline and budget.
