Description

Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking to employ a Payroll Administrator to join their team based in Sidwell, Port Elizabeth.

This is a temporary position for 4 months.

Requirements
  • Matric/Diploma/Degree related to payroll or HR field.
  • Minimum of 3 years payroll experience.
  • Working knowledge of SAGE VIP Payroll System, preferably Sage Premier.
  • Experience with MEIBC (Metal and Engineering Industries Bargaining Council) is preferred.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Clear criminal record.
Responsibilities
  • Manage wages and salaries, and process the monthly payroll.
  • Review, capture, and verify accuracy of timesheets, overtime, and attendance data.
  • Administer the electronic timekeeping system.
  • Manage payroll deductions, including garnishments, and reconcile them.
  • Prepare payroll reports such as labor hours, overtime, leave balances, and headcount.
  • Handle statutory reports and submissions.
  • Onboard new employees and process terminations in the payroll system.
  • Perform PAYE and other statutory reconciliations and reporting.
  • Reconcile pension, provident fund, and medical aid contributions.
  • Process payments to subcontractors.
  • Manage leave records and maintain leave documentation.
  • Provide payslips in electronic and printed formats.
  • Address employee pay queries and information requests.
  • Stay updated with legislative and industry changes affecting payroll.
