Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician with a Red Seal Electrician trade to join our team in Benoni. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with foundational experience in electrical maintenance and a working knowledge of PLCs. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability and supporting production continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair faults, including PLC-related issues
• Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure operational efficiency
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and comply with safety standards
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance function

Requirements

Essential:

• Red Seal Electrician qualification (Trade Tested)
• 1–2 years’ post-qualification experience in a maintenance role
• Working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment

Preferred:

• Experience in FMCG or similar high-volume manufacturing environments
• Exposure to multi-disciplinary maintenance teams
• Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance reporting.
