How will you make an impact?
Lead analytical delivery for healthcare clients, ensuring consistent high-quality solutions that address complex data challenges and drive tangible business outcomes
Manage and mentor a technical team of analysts, developing their technical capabilities and fostering professional growth through coaching and knowledge sharing
Stakeholder engagement : Maintain strong relationships across all levels of client organisations, from subject matter experts to C-suite executives, ensuring alignment between technical solutions and business objectives
Strategic communication : Translate technical concepts and analytical insights into accessible recommendations for non-technical audiences through compelling presentations and communications
Technical excellence : Leverage advanced SQL, cloud platforms and data visualisation tools to deliver complex data processing and dashboard creation for healthcare sector requirements
Apply understanding of generative AI applications to enhance analytical productivity and deliverable quality, staying current with emerging technologies
Contribute to maintaining Quantium's culture and collaborative environment within the Johannesburg office through visible leadership and team engagement
The superpowers you'll be bringing to the team
Technical proficiency : 7+ years' experience in advanced analytics / data science, with 1-2+ years in a leadership or mentoring capacity
Advanced technical skills : Strong Python / SQL proficiency for complex data querying and manipulation across large datasets
Experience with large-scale data processing and familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, Databricks)
Degree in a relevant field such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics or related discipline
Communication excellence : Strong presentation and communication abilities, with experience translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences
Consultative approach : Experience building trusted relationships with stakeholders and gaining in-depth understanding of their objectives to develop relevant solutions that solve complex problems
Understanding of generative AI applications in analytics and consulting contexts
Healthcare sector experience or strong familiarity with healthcare data challenges and regulatory requirements is highly desirable
