Overview

An established early-stage SaaS platform operating in the compliance and safer recruitment space is seeking a highly proficient Bubble.io Developer to step into a Lead / Primary Developer role. The product is live, commercially active, and used by a growing customer base. A recent major version release introduced a newer architecture which has now largely stabilised, with ongoing refinements and feature development underway as part of scaling the platform. The roadmap includes both product depth improvements and expansion into additional compliance-driven sectors, making this a strong opportunity for a developer who enjoys ownership, autonomy, and meaningful product impact.

The Role

This role will take ownership of a complex, production Bubble.io application that continues to evolve. You’ll be responsible for stability, scalability, security, and feature delivery, acting as the primary technical owner of the Bubble build. The role suits someone comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-moving SaaS environment, with strong technical judgement and a proactive mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Architecture Ownership

• Develop a deep understanding of the existing Bubble application architecture, data structures, workflows, and privacy rules.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability without disrupting a live production environment.

Bug Fixing, Hotfixes & Stability

• Diagnose and resolve reported bugs efficiently.
• Implement hotfixes when required.
• Continue refining areas typical of a recently released architecture.
• Work closely with an Operations lead responsible for QA testing and bug tracking.

Privacy Rules, Security & Compliance

• Own and maintain robust, scalable Bubble privacy rules.
• Ensure secure role-based access and permissions across multiple user types.
• Maintain a GDPR‑aware approach to data handling.
• Reduce risk of cross‑account or cross‑client data exposure.

UI Improvements & UX Enhancements

• Improve user experience across onboarding and core workflows.
• Polish UI elements while maintaining consistency and scalability.
• Enhance navigation and usability across the platform.

Feature Development

• Deliver new features from the product roadmap in line with existing architecture.
• Build clean, scalable backend workflows and automation logic.
• Extend and optimise onboarding automation to reduce manual client effort.

Integrations, APIs & Plugins

• Build and maintain integrations including:
  • n8n automations
  • API workflows & webhooks
  • Bubble plugins
  • JSON-based payload handling
• Ensure integrations are stable, scalable, and well‑documented.

Collaboration & Reporting

• Attend regular planning and check‑in meetings.
• Report directly to an Operations lead responsible for roadmap planning, prioritisation and QA.
• Collaborate with senior leadership where required on broader product priorities.
