Job Title: Senior Key Account Consultant (Production)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Key Account Consultant to join our dynamic production team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inbound group travel from Europe and the USA, with extensive knowledge of Southern African destinations. This role requires a professional with proven expertise in quoting, itinerary planning, and client relationship management within the 3–4 star travel market.

You will work closely with our long-standing international partners, ensuring that all group quotations and travel proposals are accurately costed, competitive, and aligned with client expectations. Collaboration with the operations and logistics teams will be essential to ensure smooth delivery and execution of all group itineraries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and competitive quotes for inbound group and series bookings from Europe and the USA.
  • Design and cost tailor-made itineraries across Southern Africa, including Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Mozambique.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with long-established clients, ensuring continued satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Liaise with group consultants and operations teams to ensure seamless handover and execution of confirmed itineraries.
  • Stay informed on product developments, supplier offerings, and destination updates to ensure up-to-date and accurate proposals.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible rates and value for clients.
  • Support junior consultants with product guidance and training when required.
  • Ensure all administrative processes, documentation, and communication are managed efficiently and professionally.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar inbound travel or production role.
  • Proven experience in quoting and handling group travel (Europe & USA markets).
  • Strong product knowledge of Southern Africa (Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique).
  • Experience working within the 3–4 star travel market segment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in travel systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
