Investment Product Manager

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Investment Product Manager to join their team, focusing on their international wealth platform. This is a rare chance to play a key role in the strategic design, enhancement, and execution of product solutions for a leading investment company. You will be instrumental in driving initiatives that meet the evolving needs of investors and financial advisors across South Africa and selected international markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Strategy & Development: Contribute to the design, enhancement, and lifecycle management of the platform's products and capabilities, ensuring alignment with business strategy and long-term sustainability. Evaluate and shape product solutions, incorporating regulatory, compliance, risk, and financial perspectives.
• Market Leadership: Stay ahead of local and global platform trends by conducting in-depth research and market analysis. Identify strategic opportunities for new product development, growth areas, or refinement of existing offerings.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted partner and specialist, providing product expertise and insights to financial advisers, clients, and internal teams. Cultivate and strengthen collaborative relationships across functions such as IT, Marketing, Distribution, and Compliance.
• Content & Communication: Develop and refine high-quality content for product‑related communication, including marketing materials, thought leadership pieces, and internal documentation.
• Governance & Compliance: Prepare high‑quality analysis to support governance and decision‑making processes, ensuring all recommendations are well‑researched and aligned with business priorities. Maintain up‑to‑date technical and legislative knowledge to ensure all solutions are compliant and future‑fit.

Qualifications & Experience

• A B or related degree is required.
• A CFA designation or actuarial background is essential, reflecting the technical and analytical expertise needed for this specialist investment product role.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial services environment is a must, specifically within the international LISP (Linked Investment Service Provider) or investment platform industry.
• Proven exposure to product development, pricing, platform strategy, or capability design.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the South African LISP landscape is required, with a strong preference for experience in the offshore LISP market.
• Demonstrated ability to influence diverse stakeholders and translate strategic initiatives into practical product roadmaps.
