Duration: 6 Months

Requirements
  • Diploma in Human Resources.
  • Minimum of 5 years HR Generalist experience.
  • A valid Code EB (08) drivers licence.
  • Computer literacy with regard to the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions or opinions in more than 2 official languages.
  • Ability to write formal correspondence/memos and undertake research.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small/big group situations to employees and stakeholders of the organisation.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages and ratios, as well as the ability to draw and interpret/analyse bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized and complex situations.
    Ability to interpret and analyse a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities
  • Managing the recruitment process including placements of advertisement, interviewing and shortlisting candidates.
  • Provide a labour relations consulting service to both management and staff in line with company policies and applicable legislation.
  • Facilitate labour peace inclusive of mediation/arbitration at CCMA.
  • Ensures that policies are in line with best practice and applicable legislation.
  • Provide guidance/training to line managers and employees regarding PMS and monitor its application.
  • Facilitate the implementation of an Employment Equity Plan and EE Report in collaboration with EE Forum.
  • Coordinate training in accordance with identified needs by line managers and staff and requirements as indicated on personal development plan and training needs analysis.
  • Facilitate the implementation of Workplace Skills plan and an Induction plan.
  • Coordinate training in accordance with identified needs by line managers, staff and requirements as indicated on personal development plan and training needs analysis.
  • Facicilate the implementation of Workplace Skills plan and an Induction Plan.
  • Coordinate wellness events for staff and liaise with EWP service provider for reports and ensure delivery in line with SLA.
  • Implements change and diversity management initiatives and programs.
  • Work with people/customers/stakeholders/staff and show respect for their views and for them as human beings.
  • Establish good relationships with customers and staff, relate well to people at all levels and build wide and effective networks.
