Overview

A reputable food manufacturing company is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Safety Co-Ordinator to ensure compliance with all food safety and quality standards. The successful candidate will oversee the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of food safety systems.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain Food Safety Management Systems (HACCP, ISO 22000, etc.)
  • Conduct internal audits, inspections, and risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and certification requirements
  • Train and support staff on food safety practices and hygiene
  • Manage non-conformances and implement corrective / preventive actions
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and inspections
  • Liaise with production, QA, and external auditors
Qualifications
  • Requirements : Matric (Grade 12) + Qualification in Food Safety, Food Technology, or Quality Management
  • Minimum 23 years\' experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Sound knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO standards, and food safety legislation
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Computer literate (MS Office, Excel, etc.)
