Job Description
An opportunity has become available at our Regional Offices (Johannesburg) within Cape Union Mart for a Facilities Supervisor within the Facilities division. The role involves general oversight of the regional office, including fleet management, maintenance of stores, and various other responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all company vehicles are serviced and maintained in roadworthy condition; ensure mechanical handling equipment is maintained per company policy.
- Brief drivers on delivery schedules to ensure maximum efficiency, courtesy and safe driving.
- Call out suppliers to visit stores and obtain estimated quotes; forward approvals and purchase orders.
- Coordinate maintenance requests from stores via logging in JIRA and allocate maintenance jobs to the Workshop team and external suppliers for away stores in the South.
- Expedite orders and callouts; manage procurement of regional office perishables and allocate purchases to kitchens and cleaners.
- Identify, communicate and maintain a preferred supplier base; negotiate prices for fixed periods and ad-hoc purchases; ensure cost-saving strategies are applied.
- Meet with suppliers to discuss performance; address complaints, comments and recommendations; obtain quotes, capture requests and place orders.
- Process maintenance invoices and submit to Finance for payments; ensure expediting of outstanding orders and daily completion of jobs to minimise risk.
- Close completed tasks with workshop, janitorial, and other teams; manage the car wash schedule for pool cars.
- Oversee receptionist/admin duties related to accounting in SAGE (e.g., area leader credit card reconciliation).
- Washing and upkeep of fleet vehicles on a weekly basis; manage driver delivery and collection schedules; responsible for license renewals and vehicle transfers/ de-registrations as needed.
- Ensure OHASA compliance for the regional office; oversee landlord relationships for facility upkeep and maintenance.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Driver’s Licence Code B
- 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience in a transport environment; licensing and vehicle maintenance
- Experience with JIRA, vehicle records, and vehicle service agreements
- Knowledge of traffic fine processes and delivery scheduling/logistics
