Cost Accountant

Responsibilities:
  • Manage product costing and tooling inventory reporting, comparing actual costs to estimates and analyzing variances.
  • Prepare cost estimates/quotes for new products, customers, and product changes.
  • Update Bills of Materials (BOMs) as required.
  • Assist with stock counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Load and maintain cost estimates and quotes in the system.
  • Support the preparation of reconciliations and schedules.
  • Create and maintain accurate records for both old and new product costings.
  • Maintain inventory data and product records.
  • Continuously draw audit information to support compliance and reporting needs.


  • Location: Simondium area.
  • Type: Permanent, full time position based on site.
  • Salary offered: R35 000 - R40 000 per month (dependent on experience), before deductions.

Requirements

Requirements:
  • A completed National Senior Certificate (matric/Grade 12) and a relevant tertiary qualification in finance and/or costing.
  • 3-4 years of experience in costing, specifically within a retail environment.
  • Experience working with ERP systems.
  • Experience with Sage X3 is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
