Hire Resolve’s client, a reputable mining company based in Mpumalanga, is looking to hire a skilled and experienced Chief of Security to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all security operations within the mining site, ensuring the safety and security of all personnel, assets, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement security policies and emergency procedures.
• Hire, train, and manage security personnel.
• Regularly inspect the mine for security vulnerabilities.
• Lead investigations into security breaches or accidents.
• Ensure adherence to security laws and safety standards.
• Safeguard valuable resources and manage access control.
• Work with other teams to align security with operations.
• Develop and implement emergency and evacuation plans.
• Maintain records and report on security activities.

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Degree/Diploma in Security Management or equivalent.
• PSIRA – Grade A
• 5 years’ experience in mining security.
• 3 years’ managerial experience.
• PSP Certification (Physical Security Professional) certificate would be advantageous.
• Paid Time Off (PTO) (if applicable)
