About the job Business Development Executive

Experience and qualifications:

  • Grade 12
  • FAIS Compliant / If not candidate will have to attend a Learnership to obtain necessary credits whilst employed at the brokerage
  • Computer Literacy
  • Typing – speed and accuracy: 45 – 55wpm; 100% accuracy
  • Intermediate Numeracy and Maths skills

Key performance areas:

  • Establishing the insurance needs for clients and quoting them accordingly
  • Comparing current policies/ quotations to our available products and quoting
  • accordingly
  • Issuing of policies once clients accept quotations.
  • Telephonic Sales
  • Working closely with consultants to sign up new clients.
  • Proficient in Administration
  • Demonstrate Personal Competence
  • Quoting new clients
  • Managing an electronic diary in terms of day to day follow ups
  • Contacting clients daily to follow up on quotations
  • Typing of general letters / correspondence, spreadsheets, templates, quotations
  • Collecting Unpaid Premiums for first unpaid premium
  • Meeting with walk in clients
  • Updating client records
  • Electronic filing and document management
  • Project Assistance
  • Setting personal monthly and yearly targets to assist the team in making the yearly target
