A recruitment agency in Cape Town is looking for an experienced Auto Mechanic Technician. As part of the team, you will diagnose and repair various vehicle issues, perform routine maintenance, and ensure vehicles function optimally. The ideal candidate will have solid mechanical and electrical knowledge and preferably has their own diagnostic tools. A valid driver's license is essential for this role.

Auto Mechanic Technican job vacancy in Cape Town.

Have you worked as an auto mechanic technician? Is working on 4×4 vehicles your passion? Our client requires your committed interest in vehicle diagnostics, fault finding and repairs for overland vehicles. Solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles are needed for this role.

If you are currently not qualified but are working towards your qualification, this will also be an excellent company to complete your qualification with.

Location: Epping, Cape Town.

A valid SA driver’s license is essential!

Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Proven experience as auto mechanic technician
  • Valid driver’s licence & own vehicle
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
  • Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
  • Excellent physical condition
  • Preference for a Technician to have his own mechanical / diagnostic tools

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
  • Inspecting vehicle computer and electronic system to repair, maintain and upgrade
  • Conducting routine maintenance work aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity
  • Replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc
  • Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorists on good vehicle use
  • Extensive client liaison
  • Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues
  • Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job
  • Keep logs of work and issues
  • Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
