Our client is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join the Port Elizabeth team.

Responsibilities
  • Staff management
  • Manage and supervise assurance engagements
  • Plan and coordinate work for audit clerks
  • Responsible for employee assessments (SAICA Assessment Process)
  • Counselling, coaching and training clerks
  • Perform disciplinary procedures
  • Review work performed by audit clerks
  • Weekly employee briefing
  • Plan for upcoming jobs and continuously adapt plans to consider changes
  • Report to directors and monitor progress on their jobs – act as a liaison between directors and clerks
  • Meet with clients regarding audit/accounting issues
  • Manage client queries
  • Communicate the firm’s decisions to the audit department and feedback on audit department issues to directors
  • Perform specialist roles – business plans, cashflows, tenders, fraud investigations
  • Compliance with the firm’s System of Quality Management (SOQM), policies and procedures.
  • Compliance with the firm’s Employee Code of Conduct which consists of the firm’s HR policies, SAICA, IRBA, and IESBA Codes of Conduct.
