Job Purpose

To enhance the capabilities of the existing SLR Africa Mine Waste and Geotechnical Engineering teams.

Minimum Requirements

1. A civil engineer with 5-10 years of experience in tailings and water dam design, including lining systems.
2. 10-15 years of experience in general engineering design, project management, construction contract administration, and site supervision.
3. More than 5 years of project management experience.
4. Proficient in Word, Excel, and Geo-Slope / Slide software.
5. Valid driver’s license.
6. Willingness to travel.

Key Responsibilities

1. Designing tailings and water dams, infrastructure, including cost estimation and reporting.
2. Managing clients and internal/external teams.
3. Preparing tender and contract documentation and overseeing administration.
4. Monitoring construction activities and managing site operations.
5. Conducting site visits and audits.
6. Supporting broader civil engineering activities such as hydrology, water balances, and structural work.
