A leading entertainment company in South Africa is seeking an Assistant Manager for YouTube Monetization within the Digital Business team. The role involves managing content operations on YouTube, strategizing with data insights, and driving channel growth through audience engagement. Key Responsibilities:
Formulate the YouTube strategy and annual plans with data backing.
Provide content inputs to business team.
Audit existing channels to uncover short and long‑term recommendations to improve audience engagement and growth metrics.
Managing the content release on YouTube in consultation with stakeholders.
Maintaining master content MIS for all shows across all network channels.
Leverage meta to optimise channel and video content viz. titles, tags, descriptions, playlist, thumbnails, homepage, etc.
Develop creative and effective engagement strategies with the subscriber base for continuous engagement on videos as well as community engagement.
Timely upload of videos with correct metadata across all channels under SPNI network.
Liaise with the internal teams such as programming, operations, legal, finance etc. as required to ensure smooth functioning of the business.
Proactively identify areas of revenue and channel growth and ways to leverage content assets across the platform to drive subscriber engagement and growth.
Provide insights on content health on YouTube channels and effectiveness of YouTube assets to grow subscriber base.
Use SEO/SMM tools and learnings to grow the channels organically.
Conceptualize rehashing of archival content as per viewership trends.
Maintain and update daily and weekly reports including overall CMS, channels and show wise data, partner payouts, dashboards.
