Account Manager VAPS | Fourways

A leading financial services company is looking for a proactive and insightful Account Manager to join their team. The company is a holding company for some of South Africa's most well-known insurance brands. They are pioneers in the financial services industry, focused on customer-centered innovation and service excellence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting analysis to provide insights on customer-focused product solutions. This role involves promoting new and existing VAPS products to achieve sales targets and grow business profitability. The Account Manager will monitor sales data for a specific region to assist in developing market strategies and identifying new business opportunities. Other responsibilities include preparing data reports, interpreting trends, and translating insights into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing relationship management plans for existing customer accounts.
  • Collecting customer feedback to ensure needs are met and providing recommendations for changes based on their input.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and with relevant regulatory codes.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert for the team.

Requirements
  • Education: A Grade 12 or SAQA accredited equivalent is essential. A relevant 3-year business degree or diploma, as well as a FAIS-recognized qualification, are advantageous.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of essential experience in account, product portfolio, or partner management. Relevant experience in the financial services and marketing environment is advantageous.
  • Skills: The role requires strong verbal communication, negotiation, and commercial acumen. The candidate must be proficient in standard office software, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
