Job summary
A leading insurance firm in Singapore is seeking a Claims Executive to manage marine claims and assist with P&I claims. Responsibilities include offering guidance on liability and coverage, examining technical reports, and working on loss prevention strategies. The ideal candidate should have experience in H&M claims and a strong understanding of insurance-related issues. This role is crucial for ensuring effective claims management and fostering business growth within the firm.
Qualifications
- Experience in managing H&M claims and assisting with P&I claims.
- Strong understanding of insurance-related issues, liability, and coverage.
- Ability to evaluate risks associated with vessels and potential members.
Responsibilities
- Manage claims and provide guidance on insurance-related issues.
- Examine technical reports and supervise legal counsel.
- Evaluate risks and work on loss prevention strategies.
- Managing claims (mainly H&M claims, but also assisting the P&I claims team)
- Offering guidance to members regarding insurance-related issues, such as liability and coverage
- Examining technical and survey reports and legal counsel
- PA and GA adjustment preparation and review
- Other possible secondary or auxiliary duties and assignments could be:
- Picking a yard, finding spare parts, creating repair specifications, negotiating, and estimating repair costs
- Vessel's technical rating
- Keep an eye on and investigate technical requirements as well as aspects of vessel safety management.
- Evaluation of potential members' and vessels' risks
- Work on loss prevention, which includes attending seminars, educating members, and fostering business growth
