About the job Technical Superintendent (Offshore)
  • Keeping the crew's and the ship's safety as the first priority at all times.
  • Overseeing the Offshore or Conventional Fleet's technical operations as determined by or in collaboration with the Technical Manager.
  • Keeping an eye on the technical expenses of managed ships and making sure that the captains and chief engineers follow up on cost control.
  • Watching the visits by vessels to make sure they are routinely inspected. ensuring that the terms of the agreed-upon closure of the internal and external audit observations are met.
  • Creating initiatives for ongoing enhancement and making certain that Technical Management personnel and the vessel engineers are informed about new or evolving rules and industry initiatives.
  • Project Management: Within predetermined spending limits, plan, coordinate, oversee, and carry out ship repairs, dry docking, and conversions.
  • PIC for any survey conducted for a client, and work with the appropriate departments to finalize the punch list findings prior to mobilization.
  • In charge of creating the schedule, planning, and execution plan for the project, as well as overseeing and offering operational and engineering support for offshore operations.
  • Collaborate with HSE and Marine colleagues to ensure compliance with OVMSA and TMSA regulations, company policies, and relevant campaigns and initiatives.
  • Carefully coordinate with crewing partners and supervise the hiring, training, and performance of the crew.
  • Oversee the certification and class requirements for the vessel, including supporting the flag and class requirements and certificate renewals.
  • Verify the validity of each certificate on board and make the necessary arrangements for renewal.
