Key Responsibilities:
· Assist the Land Surveyor in field surveys by setting up and holding leveling rods, prism poles, or GPS receivers.
· Accurately mark and measure points and boundaries as directed by the Surveyor.
· Set up and move tripods, total stations, GPS units, and other survey instruments.
· Clear vegetation and obstructions at survey sites as needed.
· Drive stakes and hubs at designated points using hammers or mallets.
· Record field notes and maintain survey equipment in good condition.
· Follow safety protocols on all field assignments.
· Communicate clearly with the survey team for efficient operations.
Requirements:
· Qualifications: Nitec of ITE Diploma
· Prior experience in land surveying, construction, or civil engineering (preferred but not required).
· Basic understanding of land surveying tools and principles is a plus.
· Ability to use basic surveying tools (rods, chains, GPS, total station, etc.).
· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
· Good physical condition and ability to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain.
· Team-oriented with strong communication and coordination skills.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to walk long distances, stand for extended periods, and carry/lift equipment (up to 50 lbs).
· Comfortable working in outdoor environments (rural, urban, remote locations).
