  • Establish and maintain important external relationships with partners, customers, contractors, suppliers, and official agencies and organizations.

  • Create a robust network of industry suppliers, subcontractors, and contacts.
  • Create and manage quality improvement documents and reports.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the vessel/product parameters and performance.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the applicable classification and survey body rules that influence the quality performance of our products.
  • Manage warranty claim documentation and continuous improvement feedback documentation for the shipyard.
  • Create and implement a thorough product quality improvement plan that aligns with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to identify and analyze the root cause of quality concerns.
  • Developing and implementing remedial and preventive actions to avoid future quality issues.
  • Monitor and report on product quality indicators to measure progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct audits and evaluations to identify and resolve any quality risks.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to guarantee their products match our quality standards.
  • Working with teams from engineering, production, classification societies, and suppliers to maintain consistent quality throughout the product lifetime.
  • Stay up to date with the newest quality improvement approaches and technologies.
  • Track and analyze warranty data for reporting, change implementation with new goods, and continual improvement.
  • Recognize and convey process and product improvements.
  • Continually endeavor to identify areas of quality risk and rectify them before they affect the vessel.
  • Delivering regular communications and reporting to key internal relationships
  • Establish and maintain high quality standards while keeping costs within budget constraints.
  • Carry out customer familiarization with our products
  • Occasional visit to the vessel's place of operation to perform fact-finding and acceptance of our items in operation for quality.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of management or supervisory experience with building, operating, or maintaining marine vessels, with a proven track record.
  • Formal maritime or engineering qualifications are highly desirable.
  • High level negotiation and dispute resolution skills
  • Experienced with record keeping management
  • A robust network of industry suppliers, subcontractors, and contacts is extremely desirable.
