The Drafter is responsible for producing accurate technical drawings and detailed plans for retail fit-out projects. This role works closely with the design and project teams to translate design concepts into detailed construction drawings, ensuring that all plans align with client requirements, regulatory standards, and project timelines.
Prepare detailed drawings and technical layouts based on design briefs and site measurements.
Convert conceptual sketches into shop drawings, joinery details, and construction plans for production and on-site execution.
Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, building codes, and client requirements.
Coordinate with project managers, designers, and production teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility of designs.
Revise drawings and layouts based on feedback or site changes.
Maintain drawing logs, version control, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Perform site visits as required to gather information, verify dimensions, and support the design process.
Provide support to design and project teams in material selection and specification coordination.
Diploma or Certificate in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
Proficient in AutoCAD, and preferably knowledge in SketchUp etc
Minimum 1–3 years of relevant drafting experience, preferably in retail or interior fit-out industry.
Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.
Able to interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and site conditions.
Good communication and team collaboration skills.
