Job summary
A construction firm in Singapore is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage cost comparisons, liaise with sub-contractors, and prepare financial orders and settlements. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Building, has at least 2 years of relevant experience in main-contracting, and is proficient in both Chinese and English due to the use of bilingual software systems. This role ensures meticulous analysis and contract negotiation within tight deadlines.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience as a QS in main-contracting companies.
- Bilingual in Chinese and English, essential for using bilingual software.
- Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze cost comparisons.
- Liaise and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Responsible for preparing Variation Orders and claims.

- Familiarity with relevant software and tools used in quantity surveying, such as cost estimating software and project management applications.
- Proven ability in contract negotiation, contract administration & variation orders
- Able to work independently, be meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, a good team player & able to meet tight deadlines
- Bilingual in Chinese and English, as required by the company’s bilingual software system
- 5days work week
