Project Engineer jobs in Singapore

Responsibilities:

• Design & Engineering Support:
  • Assist in the development of data center designs, including power distribution, cooling systems, and infrastructure.
  • Conduct site surveys and perform engineering calculations.
  • Review and approve engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASHRAE, Singapore Code of Practice, etc).
• Construction Oversight:
  • Monitor and supervise construction activities, including builder, electrical and mechanical works.
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with drafters, contractors and subcontractors to resolve construction issues and maintain project schedules.
• Quality Control & Assurance:
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct quality inspections and tests on equipment and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry best practices and data center standards (e.g., Uptime Institute, TIA, etc).
• Risk Management:
  • Identify and assess potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and track project progress to identify and address potential issues.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
• Documentation & Reporting:
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including design drawings, construction schedules, and test reports.
  • Generate progress reports and communicate project status to stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of all project activities and correspondence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or Polytechnic diploma (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical or a related field
• More than 2 years of experience in data center engineering, construction, or a related field
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including power systems and cooling systems
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM software)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
