Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience. The successful candidate will conduct engineering calculations, lead design development, and ensure regulatory compliance. Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong communication skills are essential. Candidates must be able to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with associates.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct and review engineering calculations for equipment sizing, material selection, and system design.
  • Lead the development of detailed design documents, including process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and system layouts.
  • Oversee and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of gas, chemical, and water waste systems into overall project designs.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory requirements for gas and chemical systems.
  • Conduct risk assessments, process hazard analyses (PHA), HAZOP, and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to enhance safety and reliability.
  • Evaluate new technologies and engineering solutions to improve system performance and efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring high-quality design and implementation.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication, ensuring successful project execution.
  • Collaborate with procurement and vendors to assess equipment specifications, cost analysis, and supplier qualifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering challenges, implementing best practices for system optimization.
  • Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Must be able to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates.
