Purpose
Vaccines M&S is preparing its future through an ambitious program named Modulus. The Modulus Project is at the cornerstone of Sanofi strategy as it aims at creating a new manufacturing concept consisting of a new generation of evolutive multi-product facilities, modular, adaptable, and agile, leveraging new disruptive technologies, to better address vaccine business challenges.
As a Senior Utilities & Sustainability Engineer, you will manage Utility and HVAC systems from the Mechanical completion phase, ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of utility systems essential for the manufacturing process. Your responsibilities encompass the testing, commissioning, qualification, operation, and maintenance of various utility and HVAC systems critical for the production and distribution of vaccines. This role demands a strong understanding of engineering principles, particularly in the realm of utilities within pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
The Senior Utilities & Sustainability Engineer will report to the Clean Utilities and Sustainability Manager.
SME for operation and maintenance of Clean and Black utility systems, and infrastructure services including chilled water, compressed air, water, steam, waste management, RO water, water for injection, and clean gases and solvent systems. Coordinate and supervise the operation team to ensure 24/7 continuous operation to support plant activities without interruption. Lead troubleshooting efforts for utility and facility systems. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements through meticulous documentation.
SME for operation and maintenance of HVAC systems and infrastructure services such as AHUs, FCUs, cold rooms, DX units, and dehumidifiers. Responsible for clean room operation and testing. Ensure documentation meets regulatory compliance.
Oversee and manage the utility team/technicians, ensuring 24/7 operation of utility and HVAC systems. Provide coaching and training to improve team development. Supervise integrated facility management teams and maintain operational support documents like SOPs and training matrices. Conduct investigations and root cause analysis for recurring issues and equipment failures.
Design and implement sustainability initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Coordinate with statutory authorities for relevant approvals. Achieve financial objectives through efficient utility operation and cost improvement actions. Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects to optimize operations and drive continuous improvement. Conduct site energy conservation audits and manage energy and water efficiency systems, preparing reports for statutory agents.
