A recruitment agency is seeking an NPI Engineer in Singapore. The candidate will lead new product introduction initiatives, collaborate across functions, and apply engineering expertise to enhance production processes. Lead NPI activities: Spearhead and manage all new product introduction initiatives within the plant, ensuring smooth transitions from concept to production.
Cross‑functional collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, suppliers, customers, and headquarters to coordinate product introductions, including packaging solutions.
BOM expertise: Apply your knowledge to create and modify bill of materials structures for assembly processes, optimizing production efficiency.
System proficiency: Utilize your expertise in Shop Floor Control (SFC) systems and SAP maintenance to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
Server & rack assembly: Leverage your understanding of server and rack assembly processes to improve manufacturing procedures and product quality.
Packaging innovation: Contribute to rack packaging design, developing creative solutions that ensure product safety and customer satisfaction.
Continuous improvement: Lead and participate in Kaizen activities, driving operational excellence and process optimization.
Production support: Provide valuable assistance to production teams during mass runs, ensuring smooth operations and high‑quality output.
Quality assurance: Actively participate in internal and external ISO audits, maintaining compliance and upholding industry standards.
Educational background: Degree or Diploma in Engineering discipline, coupled with a passion for manufacturing and innovation.
Manufacturing experience: At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in a manufacturing environment, bringing practical insights to the role.
Problem‑solving prowess: Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to tackle complex challenges in product introduction and manufacturing processes.
Independent worker: Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and self‑motivation.
Project management skills: Excellent project management abilities to coordinate multiple NPI activities and stakeholders effectively.
