Job Overview
We are a dynamic new start-up seeking an experienced Accounts / Finance Manager with a strong accounting and financial background to manage the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions for our F&B manufacturing operations. The role is hands-on and covers end-to-end accounting, reporting, cost control, and financial support to management to ensure accurate financial records and sound business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Oversee the full set of accounts, including AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations, and month-end / year-end closing
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly management reports and financial statements
- Ensure compliance with Singapore accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements
Costing, Analysis & Management Support
- Perform financial and cost analysis on margins, pricing, profitability, and operating expenses
- Monitor manufacturing costs, food costs, inventory valuation, and wastage
- Conduct variance analysis against budget and forecast, and explain key movements
- Provide financial insights and reports to support management decision-making
Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow
- Assist in annual budgeting and periodic forecasting exercises
- Track performance against budgets and highlight cost control opportunities
- Support cash flow monitoring, forecasting, and working capital management
Internal Controls & Process Improvement
- Implement and maintain proper accounting controls and procedures
- Work closely with operations, procurement, and production teams to improve cost accuracy and efficiency
- Review inventory controls, stock movements, and production costing processes
Audit, Tax & Compliance
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and relevant authorities
- Prepare audit schedules and support annual audit and tax filings
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (ACCA, CPA, CA preferred)
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, preferably in F&B manufacturing, FMCG, or related industries
- Strong hands-on experience in full-set accounting, costing, and reporting
- Good understanding of manufacturing cost structures and inventory accounting
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong Excel skills; experience with accounting or ERP systems is an advantage
- Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
