Resident Technical Officer
Job summary
A construction company in Singapore is seeking a Resident Technical Officer to manage construction activities and quality control. The ideal candidate should have a diploma in engineering and a minimum of 5 years of experience. Responsibilities include supervising compliance with contract specifications, preparing daily reports, and ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations. This role requires willingness to work on rotation shifts, making it essential for candidates to possess strong supervisory skills and a commitment to maintaining safety standards.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Resident Technical Officer (RTO).
- Registered RTO with IES or ACES.
- Willing to work 12-hour shifts.
Responsibilities
- Supervise construction works and ensure compliance with contract specifications.
- Monitor work progress and maintain quality control.
- Prepare daily reports as required.
Skills
Education
- Carry out full-time supervision of construction works as required under BCA regulations and in accordance with the contract and Superintending Officer’s instructions.
- Ensure and monitor work progress and maintain quality control and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the Contract Specifications, Drawings, all other contract documents, site instruction, relevant Building Control Acts and Regulations and requirements or regulations imposed by the relevant authorities.
- Prepare daily reports at regular basis and as required by clients.
- Supervise all construction activities and ensure compliance to all plans/drawings, risk assessment and specifications.
- Willing to work on rotation shifts.
- Ensure compliance to all health and safety policies.
- Diploma in Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Resident Technical Officer (RTO)
- Registered RTO with IES or ACES
- Willing to work 12-hour shifts
