Lab Animal Care & Research Technologist
Job summary
A leading educational and research institution in Singapore seeks a Laboratory Technologist (Comparative Medicine) to perform various animal care duties essential for biomedical research. Responsibilities include daily animal care, routine cage sanitization, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate holds a diploma in Biotechnology or an equivalent and possesses strong communication skills and attention to detail. Opportunities for collaboration with veterinary staff are also available, with a supportive team environment.
Qualifications
- Good disposition and not averse in handling laboratory animals.
- Able to work independently and in team settings.
- Ability to perform rotating weekend duties and after‑office hour duties independently.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily care of animals, including feeding and housing.
- Check animals daily and report any abnormalities.
- Execute routine cage changing and sanitation.
- Maintain records and operate laboratory equipment.
