Temporary Staff (Office of Student Affairs, Centre for the Arts)

Job Description

The Temporary Staff is to support the Office of Student Affairs, Centre for the Arts, in the smooth running of the festival, including but not limited to marketing of the festival, liaison work with artists and production teams, coordinating the collation of requirements for the events.

Execute the following duties for NUS Arts Festival 2026:

  • Serve as the point of contact (POC) for student groups regarding NAF publicity submission requirements, including ticketing form guidance.
  • Collate and track publicity submissions from student groups to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Liaise with OSA Communications (OSA Comms), external design agencies, and CFA where necessary to refine, approve, and disseminate publicity materials.
  • Prepare the NAF social media and EDM calendar; coordinate with OSA Comms on scheduling and distribution.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting ticketing forms to BookMyShow.
  • Design and deploy the NAF feedback form; manage the distribution plan and collection of responses.
  • Create and adapt social media and EDM content for NAF in line with the brand guide.
  • Develop and execute the NAF merchandise distribution plan, aligning with marketing/publicity efforts.
  • Liaise with OSA Comms to support on the deliverables by external vendors (e.g. printers, installers for outdoor branding).
  • Archive NAF videos online after events conclude, ensuring proper metadata and access settings.
  • Compile a comprehensive post-NAF report for NAF2026, highlighting feedback, trends, and key observations.
Qualifications
  • Strong design skills with the ability to follow and adapt a brand guide; proficiency in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, etc.).
  • Ability to create engaging social media content; familiarity with producing trendy reels is a plus.
  • Prior NAF experience, coupled with understanding of CFA processes are preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with NUS students, OSA staff, external agencies, and vendors.
  • Strong administrative skills with meticulous attention to detail and documentation.
  • Proven ability to manage timelines, work proactively, and handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong command of the English Language, with clear writing and editorial judgement.
