The IT Network Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and maintaining the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable, and compliant operations across all lab system and administrative systems. This role supports mission-critical healthcare environments, requiring strong knowledge of health IT standards, cybersecurity, medical device connectivity, and 24/7 lab operations.
- Oversee the design, deployment, and optimization of LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and data center networking solutions.
- Ensure high network availability for LIS systems.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and PDPA.
- Implement and manage network security tools (firewalls, NAC, IDS/IPS, segmentation).
- Oversee vulnerability management, risk assessments, and disaster recovery planning.
- Collaborate with InfoSec teams to support cybersecurity initiatives and incident response.
- Support integrations between network infrastructure and lab devices, clinical information systems, and IoT healthcare technologies.
- Ensure reliable connectivity for wireless devices, call systems, and other LIS systems.
- Lead network support operations, troubleshooting escalated issues within SLA.
- Maintain documentation including network diagrams, SOPs, and configurations.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for upgrades, maintenance, and procurement.
- Manage a team of engineers and technicians.
- Lead network-related projects such as system upgrades, clinical system rollouts, and new facility setups.
- Develop long-term network strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering or administration; 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Experience in healthcare IT environments or regulated industries.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco, Aruba, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, or similar platforms.
- Firewall administration, VPN, and security policies.
- Wireless network infrastructure in clinical environments.
- HL7 healthcare interoperability standards (preferred).
- CCNP/CCNA, CCIE (advantage).
- ITIL Foundation.
- CISSP, CISM, or equivalent cybersecurity certification (nice to have).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills for clinical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team management abilities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to reliability and patient safety.
