Overview

An European Corporate Bank is hiring an AVP - Deputy Head of Finance in Singapore. DO NOTE NO WORK VISA SPONSORSHIP IS PROVIDED!

  • Broad Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Financial Reporting and Accounting experience
  • Banking industry, Corporate Banking most preferred
  • Hands-on, team player, diligent, people management skills advantageous
Main Responsibilities
  • Close collaboration and support Head of Finance in the overall running of all financial functions including internal and external reporting requirements
  • Overseeing monthly financial closing, P&L reporting and ensuring daily compliance with MAS regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure and maintain integrity and accuracy of accounting data and records and report exceptions.
  • Involve in financial planning activities including annual budget and review of monthly management P&L reports.
  • Involve in annual corporate tax filing and FATCA/ CRS reporting matters.
  • Helps in assessing in new products and advise on tax, accounting structures and systems, if required.
  • Ensure proper discharge of accounting and finance related services and duties under any Service Level Agreement entered by Singapore with other businesses in Asia.
  • Knowledgeable about Corporate Banking businesses, works closely with local and head office accounting rules, tax laws and policies.
Main Requirements
  • Qualified Accountant with a degree in Accountancy or its equivalent from a recognised University
  • 10 years of experience in working in Finance department in a bank
  • Analytical, good verbal and written communication skills, good problem- solving ability, hands-on, IT savvy and able to handle multiple systems.
  • People management experience advantageous, team player, adaptable
  • Able to work under tight deadlines, multi-task and results oriented
