Job summary
A leading construction safety firm in Singapore is seeking a qualified safety officer with a minimum of 3 years in tunnelling. You will ensure compliance with safety regulations, conduct site inspections, and provide safety training. Strong knowledge of the WSH Act and relevant safety certifications are required. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to safety excellence in construction projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in tunnelling within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of statutory requirements related to the WSH Act and other relevant safety regulations.
- Possess relevant safety certifications.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health regulations.
- Implement and maintain safety measures as per regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and take corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct training and safety awareness programs.
Skills
Education
- Ensure all construction and tunnelling operations comply with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) and Environmental Control regulations and statutory requirements.
- Implement, monitor, and maintain appropriate safety measures in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act.
- Enforce in-house safety rules, regulations, and all relevant statutory safety requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and take necessary corrective actions when unsafe conditions or practices are identified.
- Conduct safety awareness programmes, briefings, and training initiatives for site personnel.
- Compile and maintain all safety-related documentation, records, reports, and carry out daily safety inspections.
- Perform any other ad-hoc safety duties as assigned.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in tunnelling within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of statutory requirements related to the WSH Act and other relevant safety regulations.
- Possess relevant safety certifications (e.g., Advanced Certificate in WSH).
