Job description

Responsibilities

• Ensure all construction and tunnelling operations comply with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) and Environmental Control regulations and statutory requirements.
• Implement, monitor, and maintain appropriate safety measures in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act.
• Enforce in-house safety rules, regulations, and all relevant statutory safety requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and take necessary corrective actions when unsafe conditions or practices are identified.
• Conduct safety awareness programmes, briefings, and training initiatives for site personnel.
• Compile and maintain all safety-related documentation, records, reports, and carry out daily safety inspections.
• Perform any other ad-hoc safety duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in tunnelling within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of statutory requirements related to the WSH Act and other relevant safety regulations.
• Possess relevant safety certifications (e.g., Advanced Certificate in WSH).
