Job summary
A reputable recruitment agency seeks a Mechanical Engineer for their Singapore location. The successful candidate will work on assembly designs, conduct product reviews using 3D CAD, and collaborate with customers. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and proficiency in Solidworks and AutoCAD. This role offers a salary range of $6000 to $9500 with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.30 pm.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
- Proficiency in Solidworks and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with welding technology and material science.
Responsibilities
- Work with customers on assembly designs.
- Analyze customer design requirements.
- Review and approve product designs using 3D CAD.
- Check drawings for accuracy and release for production.
- Ensure timely completion of NPI activities.
- Review and approve Bill of Material in ERP system.
- Lead and implement cost-saving projects.

- Work with Customers and counterparts on new bellow assembly design as well as their applications.
- Study and analyze customer design requirement, specifications, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and tooling/equipment requirements
- Review and approve design of new products using 3D CAD modelling
- Review and approve the manufacturing processes of new product, shop floor router, Work Instructions and standard operating procedures
- To check the drawings accuracy and release for prototype development and mass production.
- Ensure on time completion of NPI activities, to co-ordinate and follow through FAI build to identify potential issues and take preventive actions accordingly.
- Review and approve Bill of Material and routing for new part numbers in ERP system.
- Perform product validation according to the product design specification and customer requirements.
- Work with vendors to fabricate and test functional prototypes of new products, component changes and design improvements.
- Liaise with customer for Engineering Change, raises ECN and co-ordinate with internal personnel to ensure smooth implementation.
- Lead and ensure CIP/Kaizen projects meet cost savings targets, reduce cycle time, improve yield and are implemented on time
- Participate in cost reduction activities by evaluating design simplification, alternate materials and change of supplier.
- Work with Facility team for implementation of Automation project
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required
- Proficiency in Solidworks and AutoCad.
- Familiar with welding technology, material science, machining and stamping parts fabrication processes, with exposure in FEA
