Job Description

• Work with Customers and counterparts on new bellow assembly design as well as their applications.
• Study and analyze customer design requirement, specifications, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and tooling/equipment requirements
• Review and approve design of new products using 3D CAD modelling
• Review and approve the manufacturing processes of new product, shop floor router, Work Instructions and standard operating procedures
• To check the drawings accuracy and release for prototype development and mass production.
• Ensure on time completion of NPI activities, to co-ordinate and follow through FAI build to identify potential issues and take preventive actions accordingly.
• Review and approve Bill of Material and routing for new part numbers in ERP system.
• Perform product validation according to the product design specification and customer requirements.
• Work with vendors to fabricate and test functional prototypes of new products, component changes and design improvements.
• Liaise with customer for Engineering Change, raises ECN and co-ordinate with internal personnel to ensure smooth implementation.
• Lead and ensure CIP/Kaizen projects meet cost savings targets, reduce cycle time, improve yield and are implemented on time
• Participate in cost reduction activities by evaluating design simplification, alternate materials and change of supplier.
• Work with Facility team for implementation of Automation project

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required
• Proficiency in Solidworks and AutoCad.
• Familiar with welding technology, material science, machining and stamping parts fabrication processes, with exposure in FEA
