Social Work Assistant
Job summary
Singapore General Hospital is seeking a dedicated professional to assist Medical Social Workers with administrative tasks and deliver crucial social services to patients and their families. This role involves processing information through an electronic system, gathering financial data, and potentially conducting home visits, providing an essential support function within the healthcare setting.
Qualifications
- Diploma preferably in Social Work / Community Service / Human Services.
- Relevant experience in Social Services, Accounting, and Statistics is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Assist Medical Social Workers in carrying out administrative work.
- Deliver social services to patients and families.
- Process information and statistics through an electronic system.
- Gather information from patients and assist with financial assessment procedures.
- Conduct home visits as required.

Education
You will assist the Medical Social Workers in carrying out administrative work, in the delivery of social services to patients and their families. This includes processing of information and statistics on assistance through an electronic system. You may be required to gather information from patients and their families and assist them with the financial assessment procedures. You may also be required to conduct home visits.
Job Requirements
- Diploma preferably in Social Work / Community Service / Human Services
- Relevant experience in Social Services, Accounting and Statistics will be an added advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
