Job summary
A leading energy company in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced HSE Officer to ensure safety compliance across its facilities. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in HSSE, particularly in Power Plants or Reverse Osmosis operations. Candidates should hold a related Bachelor's degree and certifications from recognized HSSE institutions. Responsibilities include assessing risks, conducting inspections, and delivering training. This position is essential for maintaining high safety standards across the organization.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of direct HSSE experience in Power or Reverse Osmosis Plant operations.
- Strong knowledge of HSSE compliance standards and regulations.
- Experience in managing safety equipment and emergency protocols.
Responsibilities
- Assess operational risks and recommend preventive HSSE measures.
- Advise contractors on HSSE compliance.
- Conduct daily site inspections for HSSE compliance.
- Prepare reports on safety performance and incidents.
- Deliver HSSE training to employees.
Skills
Education
We are hiring a qualified HSE Officer with a minimum of 5 years of direct HSSE experience in Power or Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plant operations. This role is essential to maintaining safety standards across our energy infrastructure in Al Qassim.
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Certification from recognized HSSE institutions (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH, IEMA).
- Membership in international HSSE bodies (e.g., OSHA, IOSH, IEMA).
- At least 5 years of HSSE experience in a Power Plant or Reverse Osmosis facility.
- Strong knowledge of local and international HSSE standards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate across teams.
- Self-driven, analytical, and safety-focused mindset.
- Assess operational risks and recommend preventive HSSE measures.
- Advise contractors and vendors on HSSE compliance during meetings.
- Support deployment of HSSE management systems, including emergency protocols.
- Ensure alignment with NOMAC standards and legal obligations.
- Conduct daily site inspections to ensure HSSE compliance.
- Prepare daily/monthly reports on incidents and safety performance.
- Oversee work permit systems and verify safety prerequisites.
- Deliver HSSE training to employees and contractors.
- Promote best practices and lead safety campaigns.
- Maintain strong relationships with regulators, emergency services, and contractors.
- Develop and execute emergency drill scenarios.
- Respond to incidents and participate in investigations.
- Monitor PPE inventory and initiate timely procurement.
- Follow organizational policies and procedures for consistent execution.
- Contribute to safety improvement initiatives and change management.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the line manager.
