Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GIS Manager to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As the GIS Manager, you will lead our geospatial initiatives, oversee GIS projects, and manage a team of GIS professionals. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking to drive innovation and efficiency in our geospatial operations.

• Develop and implement GIS strategies aligned with organizational goals
• Manage and mentor a team of GIS professionals, fostering their growth and development
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of GIS databases and applications
• Coordinate and prioritize GIS projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outputs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS solutions into various business processes
• Establish and maintain geospatial data standards, policies, and best practices
• Conduct advanced spatial analysis and create high-quality cartographic products
• Evaluate and implement new GIS technologies and methodologies to improve efficiency
• Manage budgets and resources for GIS-related activities
• Serve as a subject matter expert and liaison for GIS-related matters within the organization

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in GIS-related roles, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership position
• Advanced proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS and QGIS
• Strong knowledge of spatial analysis, cartography, and geospatial data management
• Expertise in database management systems and SQL
• Familiarity with remote sensing and GPS technologies
• Proven project management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams
• Excellent leadership abilities with a track record of mentoring and developing team members
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• GIS Professional (GISP) certification is a plus
• In-depth understanding of geospatial technologies and their applications in various industries
• Knowledge of geospatial data standards and best practices
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Saudi Arabia, as required
