Job description

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee and optimize warehouse operations in our steel manufacturing facility. This role is critical in ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective management of materials, from raw steel to finished products, while driving continuous improvements in inventory control, logistics, and workforce productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring smooth handling of raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished steel products.
  • Implement best practices in inventory management to maintain accuracy, minimize losses, and support production requirements.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, including coordination with transporters, customers, and suppliers.
  • Develop and enforce safety standards in line with manufacturing and warehouse compliance requirements.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and storage systems for heavy and oversized steel materials.
  • Manage and coach warehouse staff to achieve productivity, quality, and safety targets.
  • Monitor KPIs and generate reports on stock levels, order fulfillment, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless material flow.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency, reduce costs, and support lean manufacturing practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in warehouse or logistics management, preferably within heavy industry or manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics processes.
  • Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Solid leadership skills with experience managing a diverse workforce.
