Overview

Are you a business-minded warehouse professional with hands-on experience and strong WMS know-how? We're looking for a Warehouse Manager with a sharp commercial perspective—someone who can balance operational efficiency with space optimization and business growth. Candidates with experience in Japanese companies and the ability to speak Cantonese will have an added advantage.

What You’ll Do

• Support the setup, transformation, and optimization of warehouse operations with a commercial mindset
• Implement Warehouse Management System (WMS) while maintaining understanding of traditional/manual processes
• Balance safety compliance with strategic space utilization (e.g., optimizing racking height vs. path width)
• Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff on efficient workflows and SOPs
• Coordinate closely with internal departments, suppliers, and logistics providers to align warehouse flow with business needs
• Drive integration with e-invoicing and digital stock control systems

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Manager roles, with career progression from Assistant Manager to Manager, including proven responsibility for managing 40,000 sq ft of warehouse space and a team of more than 40 staff across two locations.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse and inventory operations (manual & digital)
• Prior work experience in Japanese companies preferred
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Cantonese-speaking is a strong plus
• Strong understanding of both warehouse logic and business trade-offs (e.g., operational safety vs. storage ROI)
• Capable of strategic decision-making aligned with business growth
• Proficient in WMS and e-invoicing platforms
• Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills
• Physically fit, proactive, and adaptable in a high-pressure environment

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and ensure smooth warehouse workflow
• Monitor stock receiving, storing, picking, and dispatch processes
• Optimize layout and racking plans based on business and operational needs
• Maintain inventory accuracy and enforce strict stock control measures
• Ensure compliance with safety, fire regulations, and warehouse housekeeping
• Collaborate with showroom, transport teams, suppliers, and sales departments
• Assist in delivery planning, space maximization, and product viewings coordination
