Provides analytical and strategic support for investment decisions, capital structure execution, and portfolio management. This role leads due diligence and oversight frameworks, enhances management information for stakeholders, and supports senior leadership in executing the firm’s investment strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Investments team across the full deal lifecycle, including sourcing and screening opportunities; directing the development of investment models; managing due diligence and closing processes; and supporting asset dispositions.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial models and analyses; support senior management in debt financing executions; and contribute across all phases of transaction execution.
  • Develop talent within the team; contribute to the achievement of corporate objectives; and actively participate in planning, strategy, and research initiatives.
  • Execute market due diligence for potential acquisitions and new developments; source and screen on-market opportunities via the brokerage community and off-market opportunities through established and new industry relationships.
  • Prepare all inputs for investment analyses and business plans, including unlevered return hurdles and exit cap rates, financing assumptions, development and CapEx budgets, and valuation metrics such as IRR, NPV, ROI, and related measures.
  • Manage operational due diligence for target acquisitions; support the drafting, negotiation, execution, and implementation of purchase and sale agreements, leases, contracts, and other binding legal documents.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively - both written and oral - with operations teams, executives, lenders, investors, and partners regarding underwriting assumptions and key deal drivers.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current portfolio operating performance and incorporate insights into underwriting to enhance forecast accuracy.
  • Coordinate ongoing research within target industries to identify market trends, analyze implications for investment strategy, and develop recommendations based on rigorous analysis.
Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with a major in Finance or Economics.
  • Professional qualifications such as CFA, CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent are preferred.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with demonstrated involvement in M&A and project finance transactions at an investment bank or private equity fund.
  • A minimum of 7 years of total relevant work experience is preferred.
  • Proven investment sourcing capability, including market mapping, target generation and qualification, and the ability to build and maintain strong networks with management teams, investment bankers/intermediaries, and other key influencers.
  • Deep expertise across the private equity investment process, including diligence, financial and business analysis, transaction structuring, and negotiation.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills, including valuation and risk/return analysis, and the ability to develop and maintain robust investment documentation such as investment memoranda and deal structure summaries.

Leadership & Communication

  • Demonstrated leadership qualities: proactive, thoughtful, strong listener, non-egotistical, effective conflict management, high emotional intelligence, and a consensus builder.
  • High proficiency in preparing professional investment decks and presentations (PowerPoint).
