Job summary

A recruitment agency is looking for a UI/UX Designer in Johor, Malaysia. The candidate will design and deliver user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile applications. Responsibilities include creating prototypes, conducting user research, and iterating designs based on feedback. Candidates should have a degree in Design or related fields, with at least 1 year of experience and proficiency in tools like Figma, Sketch, and Adobe XD. Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of UI/UX design experience.
• Detail-oriented and organized, able to work independently and in a team.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is an advantage.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-quality, user-friendly interfaces for web applications, mobile apps, and other digital products.
• Create wireframes, mockups, user flows, and high-fidelity prototypes.
• Maintain and develop a consistent design system, including style guides, component libraries, and patterns.
• Conduct user research (surveys, interviews, usability testing) to understand user needs, pain points, and behaviors.
• Translate research insights into design solutions, user journeys, and interaction flows.
• Iterate designs based on feedback, testing, and product changes to ensure optimal usability.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, usability principles, and digital product standards.
• Advocate for user-centered design best practices within the organisation.
• Propose improvements to existing products based on analytics, user feedback, and usability testing.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Design, HCI, Multimedia, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of UI/UX design experience.
• Proficient with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD for wireframes, prototypes, and visual design.
• Familiar with design systems and responsive design principles.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is an advantage.
• Good English and Mandarin (reading and writing) for communication with China-based stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented, organized, user-focused, and able to work both independently and in a team.
